NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Police Department is investigating a fatal double shooting at Northampton Boulevard and N. Military Highway.

Police said the incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide and that the two men knew each other.

The two men have been identified as 27-year-old Dwight Walker Jr.  and 25-year-old Shaquille Turner.

Dispatchers received a call bout the incident at 7:15 p.m Tuesday night.

When officers got there they found two abandoned vehicles and two men suffering from gunshot wounds nearby.

The preliminary investigation revealed that both men were driving their vehicles in the 6000 block of Northampton Blvd when the vehicles struck each other.  After the vehicles came to a stop Walker Jr. exited his vehicle and shot Turner. Walker then turned the gun on himself, causing an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing but police are asking anyone with information to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

However, it wasn't the only shooting that occurred in Norfolk on Tuesday December 13.

Four people were shot in three different locations.

Gun shots rung out in the Ballentine Place section after 2 p.m. Police found Daquan D. Davis, 19, hit outside of a home on Harrell Avenue.

Then a 17 year old teenager was shot inside an apartment on Dudley Avenue in Ocean View just after 7 p.m. Police say he was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

There's no suspect information on either shooting.
