Chesapeake, Va. - A hearing was scheduled Tuesday morning for a 19-year-old accused of killing her mother.
Police say Rachel Hutson shot and killed her mother, Susan Hutson, the day after Thanksgiving.
Investigators told NewsChannel 3 they found Hutson's mother dead in their home on Osborne Avenue.
They have not said what may have led up to the deadly shooting.
Rachel Hutson was charged with first degree murder and use of a firearm.
A judge decided at the hearing on Tuesday that her firearms charge will be moved to Juvenile and Domestic Relations court since it involved a family member.
Hutson graduated from Indian River High School last year.
Police say she had been living at the home with her family.
Hutson is charged with first degree murder.
