You took action for the bear cubs and now the Wildlife Center of Virginia has enough money to build a larger area for them to live and play.
The money will help build a two-acre complex for the 16 bear cubs, and any others that are rescued by the Wildlife Center.
It will essentially have classrooms with shrubs, stumps, and trees for the bears to practice the skills they'll need when they are released.
Right now the 16 bear cubs are living in the newly built large mammal enclosure.
Eight were moved over last week and the remaining eight were moved on Thursday.
The enclosure was the first part of the fundraising goal.
There’s no word on when construction will start on the new center.
