Job seekers compete for positions at Beach Target

Hundreds of job seekers are trying to land a position at the new Virginia Beach Target.

Hundreds of applicants are competing for the 300 jobs at the new Target Store at Pembroke Mall.

“It makes me nervous because I’m not the only one here looking for a job. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to try my hardest to get one,” says a recent college grad who has had a difficult time finding work. 

Target is holding the job fair at the Westin Hotel as a one-stop shop for job seekers including one-on-one interviews.

Target will continue to take applications through Saturday.

And while the competition may be steep, folks remain positive.

The grand opening is scheduled for October 14th.
