SUFFOLK, Va. – Carlton Holland Jr. was known for his beautiful poetry and big heart.
Yet, his death in the middle of a crowded New Year’s party on January 1, 2013 remains unsolved.
“That was my baby!” his mother screamed during an interview with News 3. “Nobody has a right to take his life!”
Nearly four years later, even though there were dozens of witnesses, Holland’s murder remains unsolved.
“You might as well have shot him yourself,” his mother said to the witnesses at the party.
Friday night, investigators reveal the one thing they need to get Holland’s killer off the streets.
“Without that, this case is going to continuously be unsolved,” said Suffolk Detective William Shockely.
