SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Fire and Rescue responded to a house fire Sunday afternoon.
Fire crew officials say the house fire occurred in the 500 block of Spruce Street around 2:13 p.m.
Officials report heavy smoke once crews arrived. Crews say they were hampered in their response due to multiple structural additions.
There was no one at the residence when firefighters first arrived, officials say.
One adult was displaced due to fire and water damage to the home and will be assisted by the Red Cross.
There were no injuries. The fire was called under control at 3:17 p.m., oficials report.
