Six people displaced from Suffolk apartment building fire

SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk crews responded to a structure fire on Thursday afternoon.

The fire was in the 400 block of Culloden Street around 12:30 p.m.

Heavy smoke and visible fire was coming from the two-story home which houses three apartment units.

The structure sustained fire and smoke damage.

Officials said six adults have been displaced and will be assisted by the Red Cross.

No injuries were reported.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
