CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Firefighters with the Chesapeake Fire Department responded to a fire in the South Norfolk section of the city on Christmas Eve.
Dispatchers received a call for a commercial structure fire in the 1500 block of 16th Street around 5:31 p.m. Thursday. The first crews arrived on scene about six minutes later to find heavy fire coming from the building.
The fire was brought under control at 6:14 p.m.
Firefighters from Norfolk provided assistance with two engines, a ladder and a battalion chief.
No one was hurt during this incident.
Officials did not name the business.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
