No injuries reported after Chesapeake house fire

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Officials are investigating the cause of a house fire that happened Tuesday morning.

The fire happened in the Portlock section of the City in the 4000 block of Everett Street.

Crews were called to the scene around 6:30 a.m.

Firefighters found smoke and flames visible on the exterior of the home and entered and searched the structure.

Officials said the fire was marked under control at 6:49 a.m. and out at 7:13 a.m.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and there were no reported injuries.
