NORFOLK, Va. - Six people are without a home following a fire at a multi-story apartment Thursday night.
According to Norfolk Fire-Rescue, crews were called to an apartment off of Hampton Boulevard at about 9 p.m. Thursday. When they arrived, they found smoke coming from the building's third floor.
Firefighters were able to quickly knock down fire found on the second and third floors, and the buildings's occupants were safely evacuated.
No injuries were reported, and the fire damage was contained to three of the complex's units, displacing six people.
The fire's cause remains under investigation.
