5 displaced following Virginia Beach house fire

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia beach Fire Department responded to a house fire Wednesday afternoon.

Crews responded to the fire around 12:58 p.m., in the 4900 block of Whipaway Lane located in the Bellamy Manor Estates section of the city.

The fire had spread into the attic, according to officials.

Crews were able to have the fire under control at 1:24 p.m.

Five people were displaced and one person was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

The cause of the fire remains under investigations.
