NORFOLK, Va. – Two people have been displaced after a house fire in the 3600 block of Bell Street Thursday.
The call came in at 4:37 p.m. Firefighters arrived at the scene to find heavy fire involvement in the home with flames coming out of three sides of the structure.
Crews went inside the home to search for anyone who might be inside. At least two people lived in the home, and they were outside at the time of the fire.
The fire was brought under control at 5:03 p.m. It caused extensive damage to the second floor and the attic.
Officials are continuing to investigate both the origin and the cause of the fire.
