Four displaced after Norfolk house fire

NORFOLK, Va. – Crews responded to a house fire Wednesday evening, Chesapeake Fire said.

Three adults and a teenager were displaced because there was significant damage to their South Norfolk home.

The two-alarm house fire was in the 1300 block of Poindexter Street around 5 p.m.

Fire officials said they worked for nearly three hours to put the fire out.

Most of the fire damage was contained to the attic but smoke and water damage did spread to areas around the house.

There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
