PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old man that occurred early Tuesday.
At approximately 3:30 a.m. police responded to the intersection of Greenwood Drive and Viking Street after getting several calls from neighbors who heard gunfire.
Officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Medics pronounced the man deceased at the scene. He has been identified as 37-year-old Stevie W. Wright of Portsmouth.
