SALEM, VA. - Sussex Central (13-1) struck first when Malik Delk hit Armani Hill for a first quarter touchdown, but the Tigers couldn't muster any offense after that. Riverheads (13-1) went on to score 49 unanswered points en route to their first state title since 2010.

This was Sussex Central's fifth state championship game appearance under head coach Curtis Jefferson.
