NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A 20-year-old Newport News man is in the hospital after being shot several times outside the Pondo Cafe and Lounge early Monday morning.
Newport News Police say they received a call reporting the shooting at 2:05 a.m. Monday morning.
When officers arrived, they found the victim in the parking lot suffering from two gunshot wounds. Medics transported him to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Officers at the scene discovered several bullet casings in the parking lot.
Police say they continue to investigation. There is no suspect information at this time.
