Projections: Clinton wins Virginia, Trump wins North Carolina

Election Night brought wins to both candidates in our viewing area.

Clinton was projected to win Virginia and Trump was projected to win North Carolina by CBS News.

Virginia gave Clinton 13 electoral votes and North Carolina gave Trump 15 electoral votes.

As of 2:09 a.m. Hillary Clinton has 218 electoral votes and Donald Trump has 244. A candidate needs 270 electoral votes to win.
