NORFOLK, VA. - Old Dominion used another 100-yard rushing game from Ray Lawry and three passing touchdowns from David Washington to beat Marshall 38-14 and win their sixth game of the season. The win makes the Monarchs bowl-eligible for the first time in school history.
The Monarchs (6-3) outgained Marshall (2-7) 461-214 in total yardage, limiting the Thundering Herd's leading rushed to 50 yards on nine carries.
David Washington went 16-for-27 with 199 yards and three touchdowns. Ray Lawry netted 209 yards on 27 carries.
The Monarchs are undefeated (4-0) at home this season, and return to action at S.B. Ballard stadium against Southern Mississippi next Saturday.
