Tropical Storm Nicole has strengthened as it lingers south of Bermuda.
Nicole is about 350 miles south of Bermuda and moving NNW at 5 mph.
This general motion should continue today. A turn toward the north and an increase in forward speed is expected tonight, followed by a northeast turn on Wednesday.
Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph with higher gusts.
Additional strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Nicole is expected to become a hurricane later today or tonight.
Nicole will impact Bermuda on Thursday.
As of now, Nicole is not expected to make landfall in the U.S.
