PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Portsmouth Police are investigating after a man was shot to death Sunday night.
Dispatchers in Portsmouth received the call at 10:07 p.m. about an unresponsive adult man who had been shot near the 7-Eleven at 3201 George Washington Highway.
Officer arrived to find the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Detectives have identified the victim as 37-year-old Adrian Smith.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
