VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A Grand Jury indicted a Chesapeake teen for first degree felony murder, robbery and use of a firearm in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Bryant Austin Cueto.
Jacquan Leeonte’ Wilson was arrested and charged for Cueto’s murder on May 5.
Wilson was a juvenile at the time of the murder but his case has been certified to the circuit court, where he will be tried as an adult.
Wilson’s motion for bond was denied. His case is set for trial on January 31, 2017.
According to police, the shooting occurred on May 1 in the parking lot of an Applebee’s restaurant in the 1700 block of General Booth Boulevard shortly before 6 p.m.
Cueto was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries after being shot and later died as a result of his injuries.
A second suspect, Andarion Lorenzo Mcinnis, 19, was also arrested in May for Cueto’s murder. He was charged with murder, use of a firearm, robbery and conspiracy.
