Norfolk, Va. - Norview moved to 2-1 this season after a 69-0 thumping of Churchland. They aren't hanging their heads on their sole loss against Highland Springs, the defending state champions.

This week, they're focused on pushing the tempo against inner-city rival Maury.

The Pilots' offense got 340 yards and four touchdowns through the air from Darriel Mack while the ground game was steady, with 174 yards and three touchdowns on 11 rushes for Kevin Marks.

"Our kids need to understand that these teams are going to play harder each week, especially when it's two teams in the city," head coach Dealton Cotton said. He's good friends with Maury coach Chris Fraser, and he knows it'll be competitive, but "it's a friendly rivalry, they'll be prepared for us."
