VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A 22-year-old homeless man was arrested and charged with starting a fire at the 30th Street parking garage at the Oceanfront on August 22.
The fire, which started around 2 a.m. that morning, destroyed four ATVs and caused considerable smoke and fire damage to the parking garage.
According to the Virginia Beach Fire Department, Jonathan Kendall Thomas was taken into custody with the assistance of the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office and brought the Virginia Beach jail.
He has been charged with arson.
