NORFOLK, Va. – The City of Norfolk is hosting the “Pokepalooza” on August 4 at 6 p.m. at Lafayette Park.

The motivation behind this event is to get young people out to local parks.

The Pokepalooza will be a special night of hunting for Pokemon as the park and restrooms will remain open after-hours.

Click here to RSVP on Facebook.

There are several Pokestops in and around the park, making it an ideal location to catch ’em all!

The first 125 players at the event will receive an L.E.D. glow-in-the-dark bracelet. Players will also have a chance to win a Pokemon Go Survival Kit – slingback, RPOS water bottle, snacks, and a portable phone charger.

The Bodacious Pizza food truck will be at the event for hungry players.
