NORFOLK, Va. - A 4-year-old was taken to the hospital after he found a gun and accidentally shot himself Thursday afternoon.
Monique McNeal has been charged with Felony Child Neglect.
The child suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The child's mother, Monique McNeal, has been arrested and charged with two counts of Felony Child Neglect.
She was charged with 2 counts because a second child was also in the home at the time of the incident. The second child, a 3-year-old boy, was not injured.
There have been no other arrests in this case.
