More showers and storms are on the way….As we move through this Wednesday, expect a mix of sun and clouds across Hampton Roads and Northeastern North Carolina as high pressure builds over the area. While an isolated shower or storms is possible with the daytime heating this afternoon, most areas will be dry. Late tonight, a few more scattered showers may creep in. Otherwise, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies. Some patchy fog may develop overnight. Highs will be in the mid 80s. Lows will be in the low to mid 70s. On Thursday, we’ll have a slightly better chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the mid 80s.

Storm chances will go up for the holiday weekend as a frontal system stalls across the area. No day looks like a washout. But scattered rain and storms will be possible every day through the weekend, so think ahead. Our highest rain chances will arrive on Sunday. And on July 4th itself, a few showers and storms could dampen a few things. Highs are expected the mid and upper 80s through the holiday. A few more showers and storms are possible next Tuesday.

Today: Partly Cloudy, Isolated Showers/Storms(20%). Highs in the mid 80s. Winds: W/N/E 5-10

Tonight: Partly Cloudy, Isolated Showers/Storms(20%). Lows near 70. Winds: E 5-10

Tomorrow: Partly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(30%). Highs in the mid 80s. Winds: E/SE 5-10
