CHESAPEAKE, Va. – A 20-year-old Virginia Beach man was arrested early Tuesday after fleeing from a Virginia State Police trooper during a traffic stop.
Virginia State Police say at 12:41 a.m., a trooper attempted to pull over 20-year-old Donte Marqui Chesson for speeding 67 mph in a 60 mph zone.
Before he was ticketed, Chesson fled the scene and crashed on the East Indian River Road exit ramp.
He was treated for minor bumps and bruises before being taken to Chesapeake lockup and charged with eluding, reckless driving, having no operator’s license, no insurance and no seatbelt.
Since Chesson was already out on bond from previous charges in another incident, he received no bond in this case.
