NORFOLK, Va. – A jury found Kareem Turner guilty of Murder, Robbery & Firearms charges in the July 2014 murder of 35-year-old DaJuan Glover.
On Tuesday, the jury recommended Turner serve 42 years for his convictions.
Turner’s trial began in Norfolk Circuit Court on May 31.

Two other men were also charged in Glover’s murder. Roy Turner and Joshua Wood, were found guilty by a jury in October 2015. Roy Turner was sentenced to live in prison plus 23 years. Joshua Wood has yet to be sentenced.
Court documents say during a hearing following their arrest, the man who was robbed testified and identified Roy Turner as the man who robbed him. One of the strippers from the party identified Joshua Wood as the gunman and said Kareem Turner also had a gun.
At the scene, police found more than three dozen 40-caliber shells, and three 9mm shells. DaJuan Glover was shot nearly 30 times.
This is the second time Kareem Turner has been charged in a murder case in Hampton Roads. In 2012, prosecutors in Virginia Beach charged him in the death of off-duty Norfolk police officer Victor Decker, who was killed in 2010. But the day that case was scheduled to go to trial in March of 2014 prosecutors dropped the charges. They determined several witnesses had lied. Turner walked out of court smiling that day, but four months later was arrested for Glover’s murder
