JMU softball headed to the NCAA Super Regionals

HARRISONBURG, Va. – For the first time in program history, James Madison softball is headed to the NCAA Super Regionals after defeating Longwood 5-1 on Sunday.

JMU set a program record of 49 wins, besting the record of 48, set last season. The seventh-seeded Dukes advanced to play the 10th-seeded LSU Tigers in a best-of-three Super Regional, to take place May 27-28. JMU will also host the series.

The Dukes went 3-0 in the regional, defeating Princeton 7-0, North Carolina 10-1, and Longwood 5-1.
