VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Police are investigating after a man's body was found submerged in water in the 300 block of Gainsborough Road in the Carolanne Farms area of Kempsville.
Someone found the body just before 2 p.m.
Neighbors say the police activity was on a trail of Carolanne Farms Park. The body was in the Elizabeth River.
So far, it's not clear how the man died.
"We're waiting to hear about what happened," said Joshua Nuzzo, neighbor. "It's unfortunate that it happened in the neighborhood."
Right now the homicide unit is investigating the incident as an undetermined death.
