NORFOLK, Va. – Myles Eugene Crandle was sentenced Thursday to 192 months in prison for drug and gun charges.

Crandle, 33, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute heroin and being a felon in possession of a firearm on February 9. Court documents say Crandle was caught by Virginia Beach Police with a stolen handgun in August 2015.  Crandle was also convicted on federal drug and gun charges in 2008 and had another state felony drug conviction on his record.

Later that summer, Virginia Beach Police seized over 50 grams of heroin laced with fentanyl that Crandle sold to another drug dealer named Henry Lee Giddens. Officers also found proof of thousands of dollars in additional transactions of heroin between Crandle and Giddens.

Giddens pleaded guilty to the same heroin conspiracy and possessing firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Giddens was sentenced to 10 years in prison on April 27.
