NORFOLK, Va. - Outlet shopping is one step closer to a reality in Norfolk.
A spokesperson with Simon Property Group told NewsChannel 3 a groundbreaking ceremony for Norfolk Premium Outlets will take place on June 2.
The outlets will be located where the Lake Wright Golf Course used to be, near the intersection of Northampton Boulevard and I-64.
Simon's website says the mall will be open in summer of 2017 and will feature 90 designer and name-brand stores.
