First Lady of Virginia helps introduce ‘Thank-a-Teacher’ campaign

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. – Virginia’s First Lady Dorothy McAuliffe visited Mack Benn, Jr. Elementary School in Suffolk Tuesday to help the Virginia Lottery’s Thank-a-Teacher campaign.

The campaign kicks off during National Teacher Appreciation Week.

Students signed a huge Thank You card to share with teachers.

The first lady was joined by Virginia Lottery Executive Director Paula Otto, Suffolk Public Schools Deputy Superintendent Jacqueline Chavis, and Mack Benn, Jr. Elementary Principal David LeFevre.
