HAMPTON, Va. – A 63-year-old man from Texas could spend the rest of his life behind bars after he admitted to sexually assaulting a 6-year-old child on Langley Air Force Base.
Police say Texas man Mark Anthony Lowe was visiting the child’s family during the Christmas holiday in 2015.
The child was taken to a local hospital and examined by a sexual assault nurse examiner and a sexual assault forensic report was done.
Lowe was already a registered sexual offender who has a criminal record including a sexual assault offense with a child in 1993 in Texas.
He was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury on March 14 and he will be sentenced on September 7.
No other details have been released about this incident.
