Chesapeake, Va. – One person has died after being run over by a large crane at Coastal Precast Systems in Chesapeake.
The incident occurred around 9:00 a.m. at the company’s facility in the 1300 block of Yacht Drive, off Bainbridge Boulevard.
The victim was an employee of the company and was pronounced deceased at the scene, police say.
Coastal Precast Systems has a 35-acre site in Chesapeake on the Elizabeth River where they manufacture concrete products, including bridge and pier components, walls, and building structures.
