Persons of interest sought in connection to Portsmouth homicide case

Portsmouth, Va. – Have you seen D’Marcus Heflin or Bilial Boyce?

Police say they are persons of interest and they would like to ask them questions about a homicide that occurred in Portsmouth on Suburban Parkway.

20-year-old Demond T. Mitchell died on Monday at the hospital.

Police received calls about shots fired and someone who was injured in the 900 block of Suburban Parkway.

When they arrived, they found Mitchell.

Now they want to question Heflin and Boyce, who both live in South Mills, North Carolina.

Heflin, 24, is described as 5’8″ tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He may have removed the braids and could be wearing a low cut hairstyle now.

Boyce is 5’9″ tall and weighs about 155. He has black hair and brown eyes.
