Longview, WA – It’s a scary moment for almost 300 patients at a Washington hospital. About 260 former patients of PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center are being notified that they may have been exposed to hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV.

According to Q13Fox.com, this possible exposure was discovered during an internal review of infection control practices at the hospital.

Administrators at the hospital say the exposure involves those who were fitted for dental appliances for sleep apnea between November 18th, 2013 and February 26, 2016.

Officials say the likelihood of infection is “extremely low.” But they are still acting with an “abundance of caution.”
