Crews in Norfolk put out fire at two-story home

Norfolk, Va. – Crews were on the scene of an early morning fire on Saturday in Norfolk.

They responded to a structure fire in the 500 block of Walker Avenue.

The fire was dispatched at 7:27 a.m.  and the first unit was there just minutes later.

When they arrived, they found smoke coming from the roof of the second story home.

The house was vacant.

When they went inside, they found several spot fires on the first and second floor.

They were able to put them all out.

Crews searched to make sure no one was inside.

The fire was determined to be under control by 7:47 a.m.

No one was injured.

No smoke detectors were in the home.
