Washington D.C. – Redskins lose their 4-year Running back to their arch rivals the Dallas Cowboys in a 2-year agreement that was announced today.
Morris was drafted by the Redskins in 2012 and started his career out strong rushing for nearly 1,700 yards his rookie year.
But as the years went on, his production gradually started to decrease.
Last season he only rushed for 751 yards on 202 attempts, but he was sharing the load with rookie running back Matt Jones.
Cowboys received a pretty good running back with an amazing deal on their end.
They didn’t have to pay as much for a quality, tailback, which is always a great deal in the NFL.
The Cowboys offense comes in pretty strong next season with Tony Romo behind at quarterback, Dez Bryant at receiver, and a possible two headed monster in the backfield with Darren McFadden and now Alfred Morris.
This offense has the potential to be really good, BUT that’s only if they can stay healthy…..
