The USS Roosevelt, USS Nitze, USS Stout, USS Mason, USS San Jacinto and USS Monterey launched missiles at twice the speed of sound during a live fire test of the ships weapons system.
This happened during the Eisenhower Strike Group Composite Training Unit Exercise, which is the final certification before deployment.
