Newport News, Va. - Kiesherra Knight believes it's more than just luck that a bullet didn't hit anyone. The shot traveled through her window into her bedroom.

"I kind of went into a panic mode because I have two daughters," said Knight, who immediately spoke with one of them, but didn't hear from the other. "I stopped breathing for a moment because I'm like, 'Where's the oldest?'"

Luckily, the older daughter was doing school work and hadn't heard the shot. No one was hurt. "I was scared. It moved on to being upset. Then, I realized I'm blessed. It could've been a lot worse," said Knight.

It happened on Friday night at around 10:30 on Emma Kate Court. Officers found a .45 caliber bullet inside the home. "I'm assuming it was random because my kids aren't into anything and I'm not into anything," said Knight.

No one has come forward to say they saw anyone shooting, according to police. Because of that, they're still investigating what happened.
