Norfolk, Va. – Firefighters responded to a commercial fire in the 3600 block of North Military Highway around 12:30 a.m.
When crews arrived they found heavy black smoke and fire coming from the Loan Max building.
According to a spokesperson for the department, the fire quickly upgraded to a second alarm fire due to the heavy volume of fire.
Crew were able to control the fire around 2:15 a.m.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
