San Francisco, Calif. – The big game match-up might be between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers, but NewsChannel 3 spotted a lot of Redskins memorabilia at Super Bowl City.
Inside the NFL locker room, fans will find a case highlighting one player from every team. For the Redskins, it was #46 Alfred Morris. Inside the locker you will find the home and away jersey, a helmet, kelts, shirts and other game day accessories.
All throughout the building, life-size player mannequins stood for fans to take pictures with. And the Redskins player, found right next to the Dallas Cowboys.
Rows of glass cases showed items from current and former NFL superstars, including a signed helmet by 1983 Hall of Famer Sonny Jurgensen. The former NFL quarterback played for Washington from 1964-1974 and was elected to the Pro Bowl four times.
Fans also got a close-up look at the history behind the Super Bowl Championship rings. All 49 rings were showcased including the Redskins from 1991. Washington defeated the Buffalo Bills 37-24 at Minneapolis in Super Bowl XXVI.
