CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — An Ohio jury found a woman guilty of attempting to hire a hitman to kill her husband's ex-wife, according to media reports.
The jury found Tara Lambert, 33, guilty of conspiracy to commit aggravated murder.
Lambert, who is a fashion model, was acquitted on the same charge alleging she also tried to have the woman's current husband killed.
“It was her current husband’s ex-wife and the current husband’s ex-wife’s husband,” Pickaway County Assistant Prosecutor Jayme Hartley Fountain told the Chillicothe Gazette. “The ex-wife remarried, so it was the two of them who were the targets.”
According to prosecutors, Lambert met with an undercover officer who was posing as a hitman.
According to PEOPLE, records show that during those conversations, Lambert suggested using a wood chipper to dispose of the remains. She also reportedly gave the undercover officer a down payment and a photo of her stepchildren's mother.
Lambert's attorney argued the officer baited her into the murder agreement. He also labeled Lambert as mentally fragile.
She will be sentenced on Feb. 17 and faces over ten years in prison.
