UPDATE (February 4, 2016) – Pastor John Moore is now in Flint, Michigan distributing water collected in Hampton Roads to residents in need.

Suffolk, Va. (WTKR) - A Suffolk church is spearheading an effort to collect cases of bottled water to sent to Flint, Michigan.
Flint is currently experiencing a water crisis, with tap water deemed toxic and unsafe to drink.

The Experience Church in Suffolk is now collecting cases of water to send to Flint and have partnered with our area churches to help collect the donations.
"It is our duty to help, church has to be more than just worshiping and having wonderful service, we have to do the work as well as worship," Pastor John Moore told NewsChannel 3's Todd Corillo Wednesday.
"When it really happens here, we have to do something. We can’t just sit here and wait for somebody else to do it, but it was playing on my heart to do something for those right here in America, in Flint.," Moore continued.
On Sunday, January 31st the church will host an event at 3pm for people to bring and drop off cases of water.
