Newport News, Va. – Newport News Police have released the identity of a man found dead in his Newport News home on Thursday.
Police responded to the first block of Erin Lane at 4:40 p.m. after friends of the victim discovered his body.
He has been identified as 59-year-old Clifton Randolph Ewell.
Police say he had trauma to his body. The death is being investigated as a homicide.
No further details have been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
