Isle of Wight County, Va. – A man has been arrested for shooting at three people during a verbal argument, according to the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a call of shots being fired in the 8000 block of Green Level Road.
When they arrived at the scene, deputies learned that Robert Lee Winnegan pulled out a handgun and fired at three people at the residence during an argument.
Winnegan was arrested on three counts of attempted malicious wounding, three counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and three counts of reckless handling of a firearm.
Winnegan was later released on a $7,500 bond and will be arraigned later this week.
This incident has been referred to the Isle of Wight County Commonwealth’s Attorney for review.
