Hampton, Va. – Hampton Police have identified a man killed in a crash that happened in the 2200 block of Victoria Blvd. around 9 p.m. Saturday night.
According to police, a car was driving westbound on Victoria Blvd., trying to turn left onto Lombard St., when a moped coming from the opposite direction struck it.
The driver of the moped suffered critical injuries and was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Hampton Police have identified the moped driver as 50-year-old Darryl Ricks.
The crash is still under investigation and police have not said if the driver of the car suffered any injuries.
