Hampton, Va. – Dominion Virginia Power says a squirrel caused a power outage that left thousands of Hampton customers in the dark on Friday morning.
The outages were mainly in the Buckroe Beach area, according to Dominion’s outage map.
A Dominion Power spokesperson said the squirrel had gotten into the equipment. Unfortunately, it did not survive.
The power was quickly restored.
