Newport News, Va. – Police are investigating a death in Newport News after they say a man shot himself in the 400 block of Lester Road.
According to Sergeant Randall Rajkumar, dispatch received a call shortly before 12:00 p.m. that a man shot himself.
When they arrived they found the man with what appeared to be a self inflicted gunshot wound, but, at this time, the incident has not been ruled as a homicide or suspicious death.
The male victim is a 27-year-old Newport News resident.
